A
growing trend for sailboat and motor yacht owners
to move into expedition-style vessels appears to be gaining momentum.
These owners seek a rugged, seaworthy and better equipped vessel,
economical to run for self sustained long range cruising.
While ABD will continue to build Custom
Yachts similar to the high-quality aluminum yachts pictured above, its
primary objective is to build a line of Production Expedition Trawler
Style Yachts.
After countless suggestions for the one
under construction, we have incorporated some new features, including
increasing the length to 72' and renaming her 7200 Expedition Trawler
Style Yacht. We intend to maintain the same high quality evident in the
previous models shown here.
Our new series is designed to be easily
operated by a a couple with provisions for crew accommodation or a
fourth stateroom. The spacious, nicely appointed interior rivals that of
larger vessels. With active stabilizers this rugged yacht can handle
just about anything the sea can dish out, while her owners cruise in
safety and comfort.
